GMR is a mid-sized recycling and waste hauling company with processing plants in Arizona and offices in Phoenix, New York City and Beijing, China. GMR both processes recyclable by-products at its plants in Arizona, and purchases scrap throughout the U.S. for the Asia/Pacific region. GMR has over 50 full-time employees and processes over 80 million pounds annually of recyclable by-products and waste residue.
The position of Field Sales Representative is responsible for developing business, growing profitable revenue, and account management to commercial / industrial accounts in an assigned territory / segment. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales.
The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in industrial and commercial sales. The candidate will be expected to produce and close individual sales opportunities.
The candidate must have “sales DNA” and a proven track record of business development success. The ideal candidate will have substantive relationships and a deep working knowledge of Arizona-based industrial and commercial manufacturers and distribution centers. This position has no supervisory duties. Only Phoenix area candidates will be considered. No relocation assistance is available. The candidate must provide references, including references from previous customers, and be able to pass a background check.
Skills and Qualifications:
5 years of verifiable and successful sales experience.
Meets or exceeds sales call activity goals for new sales.
A self starter with an entrepreneurial attitude that requires little or no micro-management and a tremendous desire to win.
Track record selling total business solutions with a consultative sales approach.
Ability to match GMR’s services with customer needs by demonstrating knowledge of customers, pricing and competition.
Establishes and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction.
Familiarity with Phoenix area manufacturing, distribution, and MRO markets.
Develops and /or uses in-depth industry and company knowledge to make recommendations which assist in the preparation of complex proposals to win business.
Strong communication and organizational skills
Adheres to all company and sales organization practices, policies and procedures.
